*ISAA Elections
What: ISAA will be holding its 6th democratic elections for the positions of President, Communications Director, Resource Director, Publicity Director, and Financial Director.
Being an ISAA Director is both an amazing experience and very prestigious. Since its birth on Berkeley campus in the Fall of 2002, ISAA has become to be known as one of the most respected groups on campus which focuses on issues that really matter. With such high values in its mission statement, ISAA distances itself from being just another party thrower club.
In addition, ISAA Directors find their position to be filled with rewarding experiences, as they get to become more involved in the Iranian community. They get to meet, know, help and work with many important scholars along with influential and successful people in the community.
There are 5 positions available to run for . To see the descriptions of each, please see ISAA's constitution on the "About ISAA" section of our website:http://isaa.berkeley.edu/. And please read the membership clause (Article III) to see if you are eligible to vote. The constitution will be strictly enforced for this election.
If you want to run for an ISAA officer position or know someone who should, enter the nomination soon by emailing ISAA at isaa.berkeley@gmail.com . In your email please state why you would like to be an officer and why you'd make a good candidate. The deadline for nominations is only a week away and is on April 29th at midnight (11:59 PM).
No leadership experience is needed as the outgoing ISAA directors will make sure you fully know the inside mechanisms of how to run the club most sufficiently.
